This class focuses on two staple dishes that rely on balancing sweet, savory, and umami profiles. First, you will learn the art of preparing Tteok-galbi (minced beef short rib patties), focusing on the knife work, meat binding, and marinating required to keep the patties incredibly juicy and flavorful. Chef Juri will then guide you through building a proper Beef Japchae, demonstrating how to cook each vegetable component separately to preserve its distinct texture and color before tossing them with perfectly seasoned, glossy glass noodles. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn the nuances of authentic Korean cooking.
